DR. NICHOLAS GONZALEZ, MD
ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE TAKES ON CANCER – AND WINS
November 27 • 1pm – 4pm • Lecture Hall 206
Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front St. West, Toronto
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, MD, is a highly trained medical doctor who has devoted his life to treating cancer patients with non-toxic alternative protocols. At his clinic in New York, Dr. Gonzalez receives patients from all over the world who are desperately seeking a cure for their cancer, some of whom are in the advanced stages. And many of them are now in recovery.
In the bestselling book “Knockout” by Suzanne Somers, cancer patient Hester Young comments: “Dr. Gonzalez’s treatment program literally saved my life.”
This cutting edge approach to cancer is based the work of Dr. W.D. Kelley who had “the extraordinary capability of reversing cancers using a nontoxic approach.” Currently at the Gonzalez clinic, more than 50% of their cancer patients are doing well, having extended their lives by several years after receiving an ‘incurable’ prognosis from conventional medical doctors.
Based on the original research of Kelley, the Gonzalez approach involves the use of pancreatic enzymes, individually tailored food and supplement regimes, and detoxification therapies.
In this workshop, Dr. Gonzalez will discuss the physiology and biochemistry of dietary and nutritional individuality, showing that we all need diets designed for our specific metabolic needs, and emphasize that in terms of nutrition, one size clearly does not fit all. In the question and answer session that follows, he will help people understand how to create an individually tailored diet for disease prevention and reversal.
This approach to nutritional medicine is based on the work of Dr. Weston Price, who spent seven years travelling the globe, studying isolated groups of people who still ate and lived according to traditional time-honoured precepts. Price learned that different groups of humans survived and thrived on very different diets, ranging from the high meat, high fat diet of the Eskimos, to the raw milk-raw cow’s blood diet of the Masai, to the fruits, tubers and fish diet of the Polynesias, etc. As long as these groups adhered to their traditional diets, Price found they enjoyed great lasting good health, with freedom from the diseases of civilization already epidemic at the time including arthritis, cancer, dental disease, heart disease, even mental illness. But when their offspring moved into the Westernized towns and cities and adopted a more industrial way of eating, emphasizing processed, refined, canned, overcooked foods with lots of white sugar, their health deteriorated rapidly.
In the 1960’s and 1970’s, the Texas dentist and alternative practitioner Dr. William Donald Kelley refined Price’s observations into an elaborate nutritional therapy for cancer and other serious degenerative diseases, involving individualized diet, individualized supplement protocols, and detoxification routines such as coffee enemas. Kelley’s methods achieved great success with many given up as hopeless. In Gonzalez’s practice today in New York, he and his colleague Dr. Linda Isaacs carry on the Price-Kelley tradition, prescribing individualized diets and nutritional regimens for patients who come to them with serious illness including advanced cancer.
In the words of another cancer patient quoted in Knockout: “In November I will be seventy years old and I just thank God every day for Dr. Gonzalez for taking on the cause. I was very lucky to meet him.” (Raphaela Savino, stage IV ovarian cancer, cancer-free for sixteen years)
